TCHO

TCHO-TP-DYC What do software and chocolate have in common? Beta testing, apparently. TCHO is what happens when people with a background in rocket science (I am not kidding) do something about their passion for chocolate. Starting chocolate entrepreneurs Timothy Childs and Karl Bittong produced "beta" versions of their dark chocolate, turning customers into testers. In their own words, "Customers became creators, helping us formulate this release after 1,026 iterations over the past year." The first official batch of TCHO chocolate recently came out, appropriately called “TCHO 1.0.” TCHO’s innovation extends beyond the development cycle to the way we taste chocolate. Without using additional flavorings, TCHO works with cacao's inherent flavors. The result is four chocolate types that aim to be the purest expression of how cocoa tastes: “Chocolatey”, “Fruity”, “Nutty”, and “Citrus.” Or how a high tech approach to chocolate leads us right back to the basics. Last year, TCHO opened its Beta Factory Store on Pier 17 in San Francisco. Of course, you can taste and try. What is more, as a fair trade product, TCHO is a guilt-free pleasure.
